Thursday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 8th December 2016) – Focus On The Mission

“Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus” Colossians 1:26

An ambassador is a representative of a kingdom in another kingdom. He brings the life of his own kingdom to the kingdom he lives.

We are
representatives of the kingdom of God here on earth. Therefore, we have
been ordained to manifest the life of our kingdom here on earth.
Every ambassador has a mission. And as our opening text shows us, our
mission is to present EVERY MAN perfect in Christ Jesus.

The Amplified
translation of our opening scripture says, “Him we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone and instructing everyone in all wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God), that we may
present every person mature (full-grown, fully initiated, complete, and perfect) in Christ (the Anointed One).” The level at which we understand the mission allows us to know the gravity of the mission.

God expects every one of us that we stay focused on the mission. In every mission, challenges must be encountered. God expects that even when
these challenges come, we focus on Him and the mission we have been
given and not the challenges.

Every mission has a pattern that has been given. Not all patterns are the same. There is always a designated pattern that would bring you to victory; that would lead you to an expected end.

Recognize the pattern and follow it to the letter no matter how abstract it might seem. When you miss the pattern in your mission, you would not be able to accomplish that mission. Get enthusiastic (passionate and wholehearted)
towards the mission. Take for example, Abraham; He was able to persuade
Lot and his family to leave their homes and follow him. That was a man
who was fervent and passionate about the mission.

Ephesians 3:16 says
“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be
strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.” There are times where you would get weak in the course of the mission. Don’t give up at such times, strengthen yourself.

You strengthen yourself by stirring up the waters in you. Remember, you have been sent on a mission not by man, but by God Himself, finish the work and finish it well.

DECLARATION:
I am a representative of Christ. I am manifesting the life of my kingdom here on earth. I perfect the generations of men even as I give myself to my mission.
