“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14

For God, sons are not those who go to church every day of the week, or those that serve so well in church. No! A son is anyone that submits himself to be led by God.

They are those that submit to the Lordship of God’s Spirit. God desires for us to be led by His Spirit. A man that is led by God can never be in the wrong.

Let God be your guide through this earth. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

The Message translation puts it thus, “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out-
-plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope
for.”

The only way we can get to that expected end that God has planned for us is by submitting to be led and directed by Him. One of the things the Holy Ghost wants to do in your life is to counsel you. Many a times, the leading of God would contradict your personal desires and this is the reason why so many would not submit.

There are two standard ways of being led by God: through His Word and by His Spirit. Choose to let the Word of God tutor your life.

Oh, little wonder the Psalmist said in Psalms 119:105, “Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” A particular rendering says, “By your words I can see where I’m going; they
throw a beam of light on my dark path.” God’s Word has been given to us to give us direction, to lead us through this life.

Choose to be led by the Word of God.

A lot of Christians allow themselves to be led by the dreams they have more than the Word of God. Christ is the head of the church (the husband) and we (the church) are the body (the wife). We are subject to Christ; we are to submit to Him because He is our husband.

Ephesians 5:24 says, “Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own husbands in every thing.”

Guide yourself with the Word of God. Always submit to the lordship of God at all times.

DECLARATION
I am a Son! I submit to the Lordship of God every day. I am led by His Word and by His Spirit.
