Wednesday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet, 21st December, 2016) – Be Fervent In Spirit

Your ability to
display the life of God is your baptism with the Spirit and with fire. It
is evident in your dealings with the world. Fire burns out rubbish and
also refines. Your Lukewarmness is the evidence of your fire level.

The
presence of the fire of God in you burns out bad attitudes and reactions.
Every minister of God is characterized with Fire cos He makes them
flames of fire. When the fire of God in you reduces then the evidence is
seen in your life.

The fervency of your walk with God.

There is
never stagnancy on earth. You are either moving forward or backward. So
should you take a break or relax, you are going backward.

As a God-Child
you’ve got to always ensure the fire of God in you is always rekindled.
Any break is dangerous. Matthew 5:13-16 likens you to the salt of the
earth.

When the characteristics of your saltiness is not visible, you
will be trodden under the feet of men. Should you lose your saltiness,
you become normal.

When an unbeliever relates with you comfortably and
he is in sin, then your are Losing your saltiness.

There is something
different about you. You should have no fellowship with the unfruitful
works of darkness. A child of God is an agent. Don’t get carried away.

Your eyes might not have been blinded in receiving Christ but in
fulfilling Christ it can be.

The god of this world can blind your eyes in
an aspect so you don’t see to fulfill. There is a Spirit you must catch
to fulfill the ministry; the Spirit of Christ. This is how The Lord was
able to fulfill His ministry.

Look at the temptations of Jesus. In the
first (turning stone to bread). You fail this test when you start tilting
the work of God to your own wants and desire.

Note that every answer
Jesus gave was the will of God.The last temptation is exchanging purpose
with meeting and acquiring the gains of the world.

Many of God’s
children exchange the work for carnal things.

The first character of
worshiping God is that you are dead. The idea is a living-dead I.e. a
living-sacrifice. This Spirit embraces the will of God even when our will
wants to conflicts.

You are never at a disadvantage because you are
serving God. Never envy those of the world.

DECLARATION
I shine as the light everywhere. I do not trade my godliness for the world.
