Sunday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet,7th May 2017) – A Soldier For Christ

The proceeding verse of our opening text says;

One of the qualities of soldiers is their hardness. Soldiers are known for their hardness, strength and resilience. 

You are a soldier of Christ. For you to function effectively as a good soldier of Christ, you have to imbibe the qualities of soldiers. 

Soldiers live by instructions.

When given one, they never come back without bearing result; that is, they would never return without being productive even when it seems like it may end up costing them their lives. 

Soldiers never return with a reason for failing; they either get the job done, or they die trying. So many Christians always have a reason for failing. They can justify why they did not bear results. These types of Christians are not mission minded. It is impossible for a soldier to be unsuccessful on his mission ground. 

No soldier puts his comfort above the mission. In fact, a well trained soldier would put the mission above his life. 

God designed the new creation with the ARMY NATURE. That is, the nature to stand strong and firm even when faced with adversity and challenges. 

The army nature never accepts defeat. In fact, defeat and failure does not exist for a Christian who has got the army nature inside of him. The army nature is mission minded. 

You have got the army nature; become mission minded. Let your fulfillment come through the one that called you. This should be your greatest desire. You are a man on a mission. For every man God sends on a mission, there is a special covering they receive from God. 

See where you are as your mission ground. No mission ground is easy to conquer, but also know, no man on a mission can be conquered. You cannot go into anything and fail. You have been configured to be productive. You are a soldier of Christ. Bearing result is not optional but mandatory. 

Never bother about shame; a man on a mission embraces shame.

DECLARATION
I give myself fully to the mission. I endure hardness as a good soldier for Christ.
