Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. John 15:2

Over the years, our opening text was used only for soul-winning, where the God-child takes up the word of salvation and reconciliation to the world. But the influence of bearing fruits goes beyond just soul-winning.

You are not just expected to be productive in only one aspect of your life. It is often said that to whom much is given, much is expected. As a God-child, you are too loaded to fail and too empowered to live a life of mediocrity.

Verse 8 of our opening text says, “Herein is the Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit…” Much fruit is expected of you.

The world needs to look at you and understand the true meaning of the word ‘blessed.’ Herein is the Father glorified. 

The truth of our opening text is perhaps the most important foundational truth the God-child has to know. What is God’s expectation in your life? What does He expect from you?

Acts 1:8 tells,

But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…

When you received the Spirit, you received the ability (skill and aptitude), capability, efficiency (competence and effectiveness), and might (capacity) to meet the demands of God on your life. Ephesians 1:18 tells,

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling. 

God has an expectation of you.

When God locates you as a fruitful vessel, He starts purging you to bear more fruits. You start becoming a vessel for God to continually use you because; you are the set of Christians that are different from the rest; they walk, talk, breathe, and act God.

Whatever you are going to do for yourself and the kingdom of God, the time is now. God has an expectation in your life, and the time is far spent.

DECLARATION:
I am meeting God’s expectations in my life. I am His extension on the earth. I am bearing fruit, and I am purged daily. I am a vessel of honour.
