Our relationships with things differ. The understanding we have of the subject matter determines our relationship with it.

For example, I cannot relate to my television the way I would relate to a human being. And I cannot relate to my pets and engage in conversations with them as I would my spouse, or my child. Our relationships with things differ according to our understanding of the subject matter.

How does this relate to us? You see, when a child of God does not understand how God perceives and relates to him, he would not be able to effectively and successfully relate to the Lord. This will determine how your spiritual life progresses.

Observe our opening scripture. When a man is not alive to God; i.e when you are not a child of God; you are not a people. That means that to God, it is as though you are not in existence. That person has not struck the center of God’s heart to be recognised. This is the truth of the Word of God.

When you become a child of God, then God recognises you as an entity for a purpose. To God, everything starts with purpose.

Many often question why the Lord seems to be deaf to their prayers and blind to their tears. But the truth is that He sees you in purpose. Locate yourself on purpose today and see the Lord locate you.
