Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to
all the seed…which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, Romans 4:16

The DARBY rendering of our opening text says,

Therefore [it is] on the principle of faith, that [it might be] according to grace, in order to the promise being sure to all the seed, not to that only which [is] of the law, but to that also which [is] of Abraham’s faith, who is father of us all.

Yesterday, we saw that faith is a quantity that has the tendency to increase or reduce. We also saw that
faith delivers victory; your level of faith determines the level of your victory.

The amount of faith that has been delivered to your Spirit determines how victorious you become. Your arrival at the perfection of faith is dependent on how well you utilize the grace of God.

It is your contractual obligation to perfect your faith through grace. How then do you utilize grace to arrive at the fullness of faith?

Utilizing grace entails using your heart and your mouth. Psalms 45:1 says,

My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

The YLT rendering says,

My heart hath indited a good thing, I am telling my works to a king, My tongue is the pen of a speedy writer.

After your heart indites, your mouth must follow suit and speak in accordance with what has been indited. Grace requires the agreement of your heart and mouth.

To indite means to meditate and boil up in preparation to speak. But, for the faith process to be complete, you must speak that which you have prepared to in your heart. The inditing does not deliver the fullness to you. Having it in your heart won’t cause a change.

Take, for example, a man who is extremely starving. He eventually gets to a place where there are varieties of a meal. Thinking of how hungry he is wouldn’t bring the food to him, will it? He must voice it out for him to be fed.

A lot of Christians keep thinking it in their heart but do not speak.

They fail to understand that the speaking is what delivers you to your full inheritance. Psalms 45:2b says, “…grace is poured into thy lips…” The only way you can access the grace that has been made available to you is by using your lips; confessing God’s Word over your life. Talk yourself into the fullness of faith.

DECLARATION
I perfect faith through grace! I do not frustrate the grace of God. I utilize the grace of God on my lips. I’m a faith being!
