And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? Luke 2:49

Today, we wrap up our series on the Business of God. In the past two days, we have seen that God has a business, and that is the business of reconciliation.

To show us how important the business of God is, let’s take a look at Matthew 28:18-20. It says,

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

I always say that the last words of a man are always his most important. No man who is about to die would say something as irrelevant as, ‘Has the dog been fed?’ as his last words. The above scripture was Christ’s last words to us, believers. This shows God’s heart towards the ministry of reconciliation.

The business of God is as important as Salvation is to the believer. Don’t be comfortable seating. Get your hands dirty with doing the work.

Get involved in the business of God today.

Just as there are principles and statutes that guide every business physically, the same principles also guide the business of God. This means when these principles are duly observed, increase is inevitable.

One of the major reasons why businesses crumble is slothfulness. This is also one of the reasons why the Father’s business would crumble. A slothful person is an individual who dislikes work, and other form of physical exertion.

The tendency of your life as a Christian is to promote industry. An idle man and a Christian are names that do not harmonize. That is, it is an error for these two to even be used in the same sentence. True Christians are hard workers.

When a man becomes slothful in his doings, he is bound to fail. You must be diligent in the execution of God’s business. God has assigned us much to accomplish; and he would hold us answerable for the faithful performance of it.

Declaration:
My life is profiting the Kingdom. I give myself to the ministry of reconciliation. I am diligent, zealous, and fervent towards the expansion of the Kingdom.
