“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land”. Isaiah 1:19

Our opening text tells us why even though there are blessings and good in every land God has sent his children, many can’t access it.

Ever wondered why even though you have been consistent in serving the Lord, and spend time fasting and praying for others and even engage in giving and charitable donation, you can’t seem to eat the good of the land? Then, our opening text ought to be an eye opener. There are two qualities to eating the good of the land as shown in the text above.

    1. WILLINGNESS
    2. OBEDIENCE

It is very possible to be obedient but not willing. You see willingness and obedience is complying with the commands, orders, or instructions given. Willingness depicts a state that is ready, prepared, at full attention and with great fervor to do any work.

A willing heart is always ready for the work.

You can tell a willing and obedient heart in the house of God; He is such that runs to obey every instruction. He knows it’s not his place to ponder on, reason out or even question any instruction given. When God gives you an instruction, first you have to be willing to obey, it is your willingness that triggers total obedience from you and that is what God is in search of.

Refuse to exhibit partial obedience.

Determine to always walk in willingness to all of God’s instructions no matter how foolish and insignificant it might seem, for therein lies the source of your total obedience and in extension, your prosperity.

DECLARATION
I am willing and obedient to God’s Word and instructions for my life.
