One way of receiving from God is to be patient. Most people expect God to act immediately in fulfilling His Word; more like a magician, especially when it concerns their finances, in giving their tithes, offerings, first fruits etc.
So most times when He doesn’t act as quickly as they expect, they feel God has been unfaithful. Bear in mind that God is not a magician. He is and can never be unfaithful; He simply tries us to see how consistent we are in obeying His Word.
Thus, when most people pay their tithes or first fruit for the first time, then the second, third, fourth or even the fifth time and still nothing significant, based on their judgment, changes about their income, they begin to doubt God’s Word.
A seed doesn’t grow overnight; it takes a considerable amount of time. No matter how long it might take, it will still yield, for our God is a principled God.
Scriptures tell us in Genesis 8:22 “as long as the earth remains, seed time and harvest shall not cease.” All it takes is a little bit of patience.
Never relent in your givings as the scriptures tell us in Ecclesiastes 11:6, “In the morning sow thy seed and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.”
