The impending arrival of Nicolas Pepe at Arsenal may bolster the forward line of the Gunners ahead of the forthcoming Premier League season and this does not mean well for Alex Iwobi who may be restricted to game time, Sports Extra reports.
Pepe arrived in London for a medical on Tuesday ahead of his £72m move from Lille and it is widely assumed he will slide perfectly into one of the roles on the flanks, which Iwobi occupies.
Who’s the better player?
Retweet for Iwobi.

Here’s Nicolas Pépé seasons compared to our current wingers, Alex Iwobi & Henrikh Mkhitaryan:
Pépé scored a total of 22 goals, while Iwobi & Mkhitaryan racked up a stunning 9 goals combined. It’s clear to see where the issues are. pic.twitter.com/Oc1tCdqpYx

Unai Emery wants a speedy winger to link up with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in attack.
What this means for the future of Iwobi, Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan remains to be seen.
The Lille winger was one of only two players to hit at least 20 goals and 10 assists in Europe’s top five leagues last season compared to Iwobi’s three goals and seven assists in 35 EPL games last season.
Iwobi, expected to rejoin Arsenal for pre-season on Thursday, was part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
He scored once and provided one assist as the Eagles finished third.
