Former Nigeria international Ndubuisi Egbo’s KF Tirana have been crowned 2019/2020 Albanian League champions.

Tirana were confirmed champions after second placed Kukesi lost 1-0 at struggling Vllaznia on Sunday.

The result means Tirana on 69 points are now seven points ahead of Kukesi (62 points) with two games left to play and cannot be caught.

It is Tirana’s 25th league title in their history and their first since last winning it in 2009.

Egbo has now led Tirana to next season’s UEFA Champions League qualification stage.

The 46-year-old could make it a double for Tirana who have already qualified for the Albanian Cup final.

The 2000 and 2002 AFCON goalkeeper becomes the first-ever Nigerian coach to lead a European team to a league title.
