Monday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 9th April 2018) – His Will For You

Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstance may be, be thankful, and give thanks] for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus… 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (AMP)

Our Thanksgiving moves us into the will of God. This is the year of ALL POSSIBILITIES.

Meaning, that whatever you want to achieve in and with the Lord in this year, you can achieve. But the right attitude has got to go hand in hand with your expectations.

When a child of God begins to thank the Lord for the things he has not yet achieved physically, he is simply moving himself in the spirit into the will of God.

There is a reason why our opening text says “in everything, give thanks” Our thanksgiving irrespective of the present challenges or circumstance. Is the will of God for our lives; it moves us into the will of God.

This scripture was made more real to me several years ago when it seemed particularly as though everything was going wrong. Everything to me was just going wrong.

And one of the days, as I sat overwhelmed and agitated, this scripture came alive in my spirit and I began to sing and dance to the Lord in Joy.

The very next month, I received a turn around. You see, Thanksgiving is a tool of victory for the God-child.

As that Joy of the Holy Ghost wells up in your spirit and overpowers the worries of your mind- you just conquered the devil.

Revelations 12:11 talking about the victory of the children of God over the devil says,

And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the Word of their testimony.

Your victory over the devil is not just by fasting and prayers. You’ve got to activate the right functions to get the results you want.

God’s children will always overcome by the word of our testimony.

DECLARATION

I give thanks in everything. Irrespective of the circumstance, I refuse to be perturbed. The will of God is manifest in my life. Amen.
