Friday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 3rd NOV, 2017) – Operate with His mind

You see, this scripture is far deeper than we know. As I started brooding on this scripture, I began to ask myself, ‘Why was the word, mind used? Why not heart, or Spirit?’ I was later made to understand by God’s Spirit that what you are is not a far cry from what is in your mind.

That is to say, you are a product of the information you have assimilated in your mind. This means that whatever gets a hold of your mind gets a hold of your life; because your mind is the source code through which your entire life is programmed.

Back to our opening text; if you can take up the mind of Christ, then your life would be similar to His life as well. You see, Christ operated with a mind. If you would operate with this mind, you would have to take your present mind through a transformation process.

Transformation doesn’t mean upgrading or rebranding; it means a complete and total makeover. The transformation process entails that you dump your present mindset, and replace it with another. The new creation life would not produce so much for you until you start operating with and in the mind of Christ.

One of the scriptures we read so often, explains this further; Romans 12:2 says,

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Your transformation process comes by the renewing of your mind. The renewing of your mind begins by the introduction of God’s Word. The power of transformation is dependent on how much of God’s Word you have assimilated in your mind.

John 5:39 says,

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

God wants the scriptures to become your thinking process. As you start thinking the Word, you become the Word.

The only way you would operate in the mind of God is by getting your mind aligned to the Word of God.

DECLARATION:
I operate with the mind of God. My mind is completely transformed by the Word of God. I’ve got the mind of Christ!
