Saturday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet, 29th July, 2017) – A well-balanced life

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” 2 Timothy 2:15 (ESV)

A Godchild that has not balanced his study life and prayer life is living an unbalanced life and just as there are consequences of having an unbalanced meal, a Godchild that lives an unbalanced life will always find his life a far cry from what the Word talks about.

Give yourself to the study of God’s Word; meditate on the Word i.e. ponder on it, mutter it and roar it, engage the power of prayers as it is your place of fellowshipping with your father and kingdom. The more you commune with Him, the more you are changed into the same image.

When you live a balanced life as a Christian, you place yourself to get your load of daily benefits.

Commune with your Father and give yourself to His word daily and see yourself become what the Word of God talks about. You will begin to attain greater heights and experience success with every move you make.

It is the synergy of the Spirit of God, and the Word that produces this success. Don’t let any man deceive you; pray in the Spirit.

Stir up and keep burning the flames of the Holy ghost in you.

We often say that a prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian. How true! The reason is because, a Godchild that has not found himself in the Word of God, and does not communicate/bask in the environment of heaven will live a life so different from what the Word of God says.

Many of God’s children are so engrossed in prayers that they don’t place much emphasis on studying the Word of God, or they place so much emphasis on the Word that they neglect the place of prayers forgetting that “the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” James 5:16b (ESV), the AMP rendering says it “makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].”

The place of prayers should not be overlooked in the life of the Godchild and he has got to always give himself to the Word as “they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:22

DECLARATION:
I experience tremendous results as I remain in the frequency of prayer hearing the word of God guide me.
