“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” 2 Timothy 4:7
There is a very popular song we always sing in Nigeria that says,
“I am a divine project, I am not to be abandoned, I am a contract to Jesus, He would never abandon me, until he finishes God’s work in my life”.
This is the confidence we have in Christ. This confidence is born out of the Scripture that says,
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Phillipians 1:6
We serve a God and have a Father, who completes whatever He sets out to do – it is therefore expedient that we take up His nature.
If you ever begin a mission, you must endeavour to finish it; no matter how long it takes or how tedious it is.
Jesus explained in Luke 14:28-30 the necessity of being sufficiently capable before embarking on a project; so as to ensure its completion and also avoid mockery.

God has given us all it takes to fulfill the mandate we’ve been given. We have no excuse of failure because we’ve been sufficiently provided with everything we need – His Word, His Spirit, your leaders, your sons and even the grace to carry out the work.
Never stop halfway in the work that has been put in your hands: it would be a disgrace to you. You are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses who are awaiting your great finish.
The glory you desire won’t show up until the work is complete.
If you started it, then believe that you can finish it through Christ that strengthens you.
How Jesus must have felt, when He cried on that cross and said “It is finished!” Jesus put up with all that came His way so that He could have that “exhilarating finish in and with God.” (Hebrews 12:2, MSG).
Nothing gives a man more joy than finishing what he started.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (AMP) completely defines resilience.
“We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed;”
This is the mind of a soldier on missions; rather than give up, he keeps at the mission.
DECLARATION:
I am resilient, undeterred and firm in the face of challenges. I am coming out stronger and refined.
